A dental implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth; it is a fixed, permanent solution to toothloss. Implants can restore one or more teeth and patients wearing dentures can often have fixed bridges using dental implants as an alternative to a removable plate. Excellent oral hygiene is required for maintenance of dental implants just like teeth and this can be assured with the care of our dental hygienists.

Implants are suitable for many patients nowadays. For example, they can help to secure a very loose lower denture, or upper denture. They are often more protective to the remaining teeth than for example bridgework and they may be an alternative to the stigma that some people associate with wearing a removable denture.
