DENTAL IMPLANTS

Implants are titanium screws inserted in your gum where the root of the tooth would have been.  In most cases, we will place and restore the implant here at the practice. It is the most long term option when you are missing a tooth.  In many cases we will restore the implant with a crown here at he practice.  Excellent oral hygiene is required for maintenance of dental implants just like teeth and this can be assured with the care of our hygienists.

Implants are suitable for many patients nowadays. For example, they can help to secure a very loose lower denture, or upper denture. They are often more protective to the remaining teeth than for example bridgework and they may be an alternative to the stigma that some people associate with wearing a removable denture.
